Chapter 3-The Lightning Country
Near the end of the second day, Team Five finally reached the Lightning Country. “So we should be there by tomorrow evening, correct?” Arai asked. “Yeah,” Kuenai responded.
Almost fifty meters from Team Five, two shadows were standing in the trees. “We attack them tonight, right Yakiimo?” asked the shadow closer to the ground. Above him the words were spoken, “Yes, tonight. Let’s go.”
Later that day, the sun started to set. “All right, let’s set up camp for tonight,” Kuenai recommended. They proceeded to set up their camp and finished within five minutes, letting them start on dinner. They ate meat they brought along, along with the berries and fruit from before that Kuenai had picked.
“Hey Razu, how about a match?” Arai randomly asked as he finished eating. Razu stood and looked over at Arai. He slightly surprised both of them saying, “Sure.” Arai arose as well saying, “All right then. Let’s fight over there out of camp.” Arai left, heading to the East. Razu dropped his sunglasses over his eyes and followed Arai.
“All right, you mind Aoiraikou in this fight?” Arai asked stopping in the open area beyond the dense forest. “Nope,” Razu answered.
“I’m going to let them exhaust each other out first,” spoke a mysterious voice high up in the trees that were a part of the dense forest Razu and Arai traveled through.
Aoiraikou jumped from Arai’s shoulder onto the ground. “Man Beast Clone!” exclaimed Arai after completing the necessary handsigns. Aoiraikou transformed into Arai as Arai got down on his hands to copy Aoiraikou. “Clone Jutsu!” Razu said to create four clones to assist him, two on each side of him. Arai and Aoiraikou dashed at Razu and his clones. Arai slashed the clone at the far right, making it fade away to nothing. Aoiraikou had jumped off of Arai to slash the three on Razu’s right, revealing Razu. They hit the ground and slid around to where they faced Razu. They continued their attack by jumping at him. Razu dropped backwards and thrust his fist into them as they went over him. They spiraled away from Razu and landed on their sides. Aoiraikou changed back, having been hit more critically than Arai. Arai got up and went to Aoiraikou. He walked toward Razu complementing, “Wow, your good! Aoiraikou is going to be out for a little while. Let’s continue."
“Help!” screeched across the distance to obtain Arai and Razu’s attentions. They turned, and Razu started to run back to camp. Arai picked up Aoiraikou and followed Razu. A shadow descended from the trees and quickly enforced its fist into Razu’s stomach. Razu doubled over and fell unconscious. “Who are you?” Arai asked while quickly and carefully putting Aoiraikou down. “I’m Yakiimo Fenikkusu and that will be the last name you ever hear,” he said leaving the shadows to show his appearance. He was as tall as Arai with spiked grey hair. He wore a headband from the Cloud Village on his forehead. His face was covered leaving only his blue eyes visible, which had a lust for killing in them. He wore silver armor with an unusual red symbol in the middle. His sleeves were visible at his upper arm. His dark blue shorts were pocket-less and slightly went over his knees.
Arai readied himself for this fight. He dashed at Yakiimo. Yakiimo waited and punched Arai in the stomach as he came into range. Arai dropped immediately, grasping his stomach and trying to breathe for air. He fainted from lost of air and the pain that rushed through his body.
Arai awoke to find himself tied to a tree and his teammates tied to other trees. They were at their camp, and it didn’t seem like much time had passed since the assault in the forest. Yakiimo and another person a little taller than Yakiimo stood at the fire. The other person looked almost identical to Yakiimo with differences of a mask that covers more than Yakiimo's. Its flat top showed that he had no hair or very little. The other difference is he wears black pants. Yakiimo's partner walked into Team Five’s tent and returned within a minute. “Did you find it Arashi?” Yakiimo asked as he appeared. “Yea, right here,” his dark voice replied holding a scroll. Arai noticed it was their mission’s scroll. He suddenly remembered Rin untying herself and copied it so he could escape. He slowly grabbed a shuriken from his pouch and cut himself loose. The moment the rope snapped loose, Yakiimo glared over and commanded Arashi to stop him.
Arai dropped to the ground and pulled more shuriken out. He tossed them toward his teammates and jumped from his spot. Arashi smashed into the tree, breaking it in half. The shuriken turned upward in front of Arai’s teammates, cutting the rope. Arashi got back up and looked over to Team Five. They were still unconscious on the ground, so Arai dashed forward at Arashi to stop him from attacking his teammates. Arashi turned toward Arai before Arai made contact. He jumped into Arashi with his shoulder right into the middle of Arashi's armor. Arashi slid back near five feet as Arai fell to the ground with his shoulder in pain. 'What was I thinking?' Arai thought as he tried to get back up. When he looked up, Arashi greeted him with his fist into Arai's face. The impact sent him flying back, crashing over on his own speed-induced body. Arai got back up writhing in pain. He disregarded his state of condition and charged at Arashi again. Arashi was turned toward Yakiimo, as he was about to walk back over, when Arai slammed himself into him. Arashi, having his guard down, was sent flying across the ground.
Razu woke up and looked up to see Arai and Arashi battle while Yakiimo stood and watched. Razu stood up and went over to wake Kuenai and Aoiraikou. “Arashi get your guard back up. You have the others to fight as well.” Arashi pushed Arai off of him and stood up. “Why don’t you get them?” Arashi demanded. Yakiimo glared at him and Arashi was suddenly shocked. He looked back at Team Five and charged at Razu to stop him from waking the others. Razu turned off his spot to dodge Arashi’s attack, having Arashi rush past him. Razu pulled a kunai out and swung it around, causing it to strike Arashi’s back. Even though the armor reduced most of the impact, the kunai still went in enough for damage. Arashi vanished in a cloud of smoke and a small boulder fell into the ground. Arai got back up and started to run over to them. He spawned out a nearby tree, landing behind Arai. Arai stopped himself, sliding a small distance, and spun around on his left foot to face Arashi. He dropped down to his four limbs and finished sliding backwards. He launched himself forward as soon as he could. The dirt under him lifted into the air. Arashi mimicked Arai’s attack and launched him in the same pattern as him.
“Will you stop playing around Arashi?” Yakiimo growled. Razu went to wake up the others as he had planned before. Meanwhile, Arai and Arashi made contact and Arashi was forced back violently. Arai landed and launched himself even harder toward the flying Arashi. He made contact with him again and forced him back even faster than before. Arashi landed on the ground and snapped his upper body bones from the unfortunate landing. He continued to roll from the force and ended up in Team Five’s camp fire. His unconscious body set ablaze from the flames engulfing him. Yakiimo showed no emotion to his comrade and readied himself to fight Team Five alone, who were now all awake and ready to fight.
